Just Security Is Hiring – Executive Assistant/Editorial Assistant

Just Security is seeking candidates with strong organizational, project management, and writing skills to fill a full-time Executive Assistant/Editorial Assistant (EA) role. The EA will join Just Security’s small and highly collegial team and help support senior staff in our mission of bringing cutting-edge thinking on security, civil liberties, human rights, and the rule of law to national and international conversations. The EA will work from our offices in New York City, with the option of a hybrid remote/in-person model by mutual agreement. There is no fixed start date, but there is a preference for candidates who can start within a few weeks after an offer is made.

Since 2013, Just Security has served as a vital resource for policymakers, lawmakers, legal professionals, and journalists working on the most important challenges at the intersection of national security, human rights, civil liberties, democracy, and international legal matters. In recent years, we have seen the rise of new threats to democracy, civil liberties, human rights, and the rule of law. Just Security has grown into a unique digital media outlet providing analysis in a timely, engaging, and accessible format vital to informing civil society experts, government officials, the news media, and the general public.

The EA will assist members of Just Security in managing day-to-day activities of our growing organization. Duties may include internal workflow management, copy editing, assisting with multimedia and web design projects, uploading and managing site content, coordinating convenings or other events, tracking development efforts, and/or other projects as they arise.
