Delaney Simon

Delaney Simon (@delaneysimon) is a Senior Analyst with the U.S. Program at the International Crisis Group, where she focuses on U.S. foreign policy in conflict zones and non-military tools for crisis prevention. Previously, she held positions with the United Nations in Afghanistan, Lebanon and Yemen, advising senior United Nations officials on conflict mitigation and humanitarian planning. Her work on U.S. sanctions has appeared in publications such as Politico, Foreign Affairs and War on the Rocks. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and a master’s degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
