Lia van Broekhoven

Lia van Broekhoven is co-founder and Executive Director of Human Security Collective (@HSCollective). Prior to co-founding HSC, Lia worked as researcher, policy advisor and development practitioner in Latin America, South and SE Asia, as well as in the UK and US, with the United Nations, Natural Resources Institute, the World Bank and Cordaid. In 2013 Lia established with other NGOs the Global Nonprofit Coalition on the Financial Action Task Force. HSC is co-chair of the Coalition and holds a seat on the FATF Private Sector Consultative Forum (@fatfplatform). In the Netherlands, HSC co-convenes, with the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Banking Association, a stakeholder roundtable to address financial access challenges of NPOs stemming from the FATF AML/CFT standards, sanctions and the EU AML/CFT Rule.
