Lisa Reinsberg

Lisa Reinsberg (LinkedIn) is an international human rights lawyer and lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She founded and, from 2011 to 2025, directed the International Justice Resource Center (IJRC), which provided advice, informational tools, and trainings to help advocates around the world use international human rights protections. IJRC’s work lives on at the Center for Global Law and Justice at Northeastern University’s School of Law. Previously, Lisa worked as an attorney on behalf of migrants and people in prison and was a legal fellow at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. As a Fulbright grantee, she studied advocates’ use of the Inter-American human rights system to advance rights in the region. Lisa is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego; Georgetown University Law Center; and, University of California, Berkeley School of Law; and a PhD candidate at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University. She serves on several boards, including the advisory boards of the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law, and the International Courts and Tribunals Interest Group of the American Society of International Law.
