Raquel Vázquez Llorente (@vazquezllorente) is FIDH’s Permanent Representative to the International Criminal Court, and their Head of Delegation in The Hague. Before joining FIDH (International Federation for Human Rights), Raquel helped build eyeWitness, an organisation set up by the International Bar Association that has created award-winning technology for capturing verifiable digital evidence of human rights abuses. Raquel’s work focuses on how technology can facilitate survivor-centred justice. She has led strategic partnerships with global litigation networks and local activists that have contributed to the documentation and investigation of international crimes in Central America, the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Raquel is a lawyer admitted to the Madrid Bar (Spain), and a member of the Technology Advisory Board of the International Criminal Court, the Advisory Board of eyeWitness, and the Justice Rapid Response Roster for the deployment of experts to complex investigations.
