Patrick Kroker

Dr. Patrick Kroker focuses on Syria at the Berlin-based European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR), where he has worked since 2015. A lawyer with the Berlin Bar, he studied Law at the Universities of Leipzig, Trier and Lisbon. He worked as an assistant to Civil Party Lawyers at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia and in 2012 completed his PhD on the subject of victims’ participation in international criminal proceedings at the University of Hamburg. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg and at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. In 2014, he was awarded a post-doc fellowship at Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and at Goldsmiths College London.
