Sofia DeSimone

Sofia DeSimone (LinkedIn) is from South Kingstown, Rhode Island. She is interested in environmental justice, administrative law, and the work of state attorneys general. At NYU Law, she serves as a Mittal Fellow with the State Energy & Environmental Impact Center and a Digital Articles Editor on the Review of Law and Social Change. She spent her 1L summer at the Great Rivers Environmental Law Center and her 2L summer with the Northeast Regional Office at Earthjustice. In addition to serving as a fellow with the State Impact Center, she has participated in NYU’s Environmental and Climate Justice Lab and the Environmental Lab Clinic, as well as serving as a TA for Lawyering. Sofia graduated in 2021 with a B.A. in Sociology from Columbia University and will receive her J.D. from NYU School of Law in 2026.
