Gabe Arrington

Gabe Arrington (LinkedIn) is a senior military officer, national security strategist, technologist, entrepreneur, and Co-Founder of Norden Labs and Higher Prana. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, where his work focuses on energy studies.

During his military career, Arrington has served across multiple commands and staffs and flown 273 combat missions. He has led or contributed to several major national security and defense initiatives, including Air Force operational wargaming, development of the Air Force’s Fast Space Strategy, the creation of Pilot Training Next, and development of the Joint Warfighting Concept on the Joint Staff across multiple U.S. administrations.

As Chief of Disruptive Technology at the Pentagon, Arrington led a $9 billion shift in funding toward emerging technologies as part of an effort senior leaders described as the “Third Offset Strategy.” His work has spanned defense strategy, emerging technology, wargaming, force design, and national security policy, including engagement across the Department of Defense, the interagency, and multiple National Security Councils.

Arrington is a graduate of MIT’s Seminar XXI and a National Defense Fellowship at the Center for a New American Security. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with Military Distinction and holds Master of Arts degrees in National Security Studies and Military Operational Art and Science, as well as a Master of Philosophy in Strategy.

He serves on the boards of AI 2030, PPE Kids, the National Amateur Fall Baseball Association, and Brandeis University. His commentary and writing have appeared in Defense One, The Hill, Breaking Defense, RealClearDefense, and Air University.
