Kate Welty (LinkedIn) is a legal fellow at the Institute for Policy Integrity, a non-partisan think tank housed at New York University School of Law dedicated to improving the quality of governmental decisionmaking. Before joining Policy Integrity, Kate worked as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, Earthjustice’s Toxic Exposure and Health Program, the United States Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Region Five Division.

Before becoming an attorney, Kate worked as an environmental due diligence consultant, auditing industrial facilities for regulatory compliance and environmental health and safety concerns.
