Sergey Vasiliev

Sergey Vasiliev (@sevslv) is an assistant professor at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University, where he teaches international criminal law and public international law. Prior to joining the Grotius Centre in 2016, Vasiliev worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the law faculty of the Free University Amsterdam and a fellow at the Amsterdam Center for International Law, University of Amsterdam. He earned his PhD in international criminal procedure (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam in 2014. Vasiliev has published extensively in the field of international criminal justice and is a co-editor of International Criminal Procedure: Principles and Rules (OUP 2013) and Pluralism in International Criminal Law (OUP 2014). He serves on the editorial board of the Leiden Journal of International Law.
