
Corinna Turbes
Corinna Turbes (LinkedIn) is a privacy and technology policy professional with extensive experience in data governance, AI policy, and legislative advocacy. She graduated from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota with a Master’s in Global Public Policy in 2017. Most recently, she served as Director of the Center for Data Policy at the Data Foundation, where she led the organization’s policy agenda and drove successful advocacy efforts resulting in the passage of landmark legislation, including the National Secure Data Service Act and the Financial Data Transparency Act. Her work spanned data governance, privacy law, and AI policy with a focus on advancing reforms that protect against discriminatory uses of data and technology. Corinna has authored numerous white papers and policy analyses, and represented her organization in media and high-level government settings. She also served as an advisor on the Open Government Federal Advisory Committee, contributing to the development of the 6th U.S. National Action Plan. In her current role, she continues to advance open access initiatives — including public access to research and data — through strategic engagement with Congress, federal agencies, and diverse stakeholders.
