
Beau Tremitiere

Beau Tremitiere (Bluesky) is Deputy Director of Impact Programs & Counsel, Civic Space and Rule of Law at Protect Democracy, where he leads programs in defense of the rule of law and the free exercise of fundamental constitutional rights, with a focus on politicized and improper uses of the U.S. military and federal law enforcement. Tremitiere has appeared in the D.C. National Guard litigation, representing amici former service secretaries and retired senior military officers. Prior to joining Protect Democracy, Beau served as a policy aide to United States Senator Joe Manchin III and as a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Margaret M. McKeown of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable John A. Kronstadt of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Beau received his A.B. from Harvard University and J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
