
Sigurjón Sveinsson
Sigurjón Sveinsson is an independent researcher and international disability rights scholar based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He first trained as a lawyer at the University of Iceland. Thereafter, he attended the National University of Galway for his postgraduate legal studies where he was an awarded an LLM. The focus of his thesis was the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. While at Galway he was also affiliated with the Disability Law and Policy Center. He is currently part of a working group advancing the implementation of Security Council resolution 2475 and advancing the Disability, Peace and Security agenda.
