Dale Stephens

Dale Stephens is a Professor of Law at the University of Adelaide Law School in South Australia. He is the Director of the Adelaide University Research Unit on Military Law and Ethics (RUMLAE) and is a Board member and Editor of The Woomera Manual on the International Law of Military Space Operations. He is a former Naval Legal Officer (Captain – Royal Australian Navy) and has previously served as Director of Operations and International Law at Defence Legal in Canberra and was also Director of Naval Legal Services. He has deployed multiple times to Iraq and East Timor and has published numerous books and articles on operational law topics. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and holds an SJD and LL.M from Harvard Law School.
