Martha Roberts

Martha Roberts (LinkedIn) is the Washington, D.C. Office Director for the Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law.

Most recently Martha served as Senior Counselor at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, where she oversaw the review of energy and climate regulations. She previously served as a Professional Staff Member for the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, where she was responsible for EPA’s budget. She also served as a senior advisor to Colorado Senator Michael Bennet on energy and environmental policy.

Earlier in her career Martha was a senior attorney at Environmental Defense Fund for nearly five years. From 2013 to 2015, she was an appointee at EPA in the Deputy Administrator’s Office and in the Office of Policy.

Martha received her J.D. magna cum laude from NYU Law School, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar. She clerked for the Hon. Carlos F. Lucero of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Martha holds a B.S. and M.S. from Stanford University in Earth Systems, an interdisciplinary environmental science, economics, and policy program.
