William Pons

William I. Pons is Senior Legal Adviser to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities where he advises on the intersection between armed conflict, humanitarian action, international criminal law, peacebuilding, and disability rights. He holds a research appointment at the Harvard Law School Project on Disability where he researches and writes on innovative legal approaches utilizing the international criminal law framework to provide accountability for disability-based crimes. He is also an Academic Fellow at the University of Geneva, and teaches international humanitarian law at the University of Maryland School of Law.
