James Piazza

James A. Piazza is Professor of Political Science at the Pennsylvania State University.  His research examines the political and socioeconomic causes and consequences of terrorism and counterterrorism globally.  His research has been published in an array of journals including the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, the Journal of Peace Research and Terrorism and Political Violence.  His research has been supported through external funding by the Time-Sharing Experiments in Social Science program and the U.S. Department of Defense Minerva Research Initiative.  At Penn State, Piazza teaches graduate and undergraduate coursework on terrorism.
