Dr Sejal Parmar (@_SejalParmar) is Lecturer in Law at the School of Law at the University of Sheffield. She was previously Assistant Professor of Law at the Central European University, Senior Adviser to the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media (on secondment from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office), and Senior Legal Officer at ARTICLE 19. She is an independent member of the Council of Europe’s Committee on Combating Hate Speech. She regularly serves as a consultant for intergovernmental organisations and NGOs on human rights issues.
