Lisa Oldring

Lisa Oldring (@lisa_oldring) is a PhD candidate at Leiden University Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies and an advisor to Stop Ecocide International and Stop Ecocide Canada. She has held multiple roles with the UN, including as senior advisor with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2009 to 2019 where she was lead author of UN reports on counterterrorism, global surveillance practices, and the use of force. She served previously as a legal advisor with UN-mandated international commissions of inquiry on Darfur and on Lebanon; Special Advisor to Mary Robinson; and attaché with the ICRC. Oldring is also on LinkedIn.
