Luis Moreno Ocampo (LinkedInX) was the founding Chief Prosecutor of the new and permanent International Criminal Court. (2003-2012). His Office was involved in the most serious conflicts of the 21st century including Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, Palestine and Korea, opened investigations in 7 different countries and prosecuted 30 leaders for atrocity crimes, including Joseph Kony, President Bashir for genocide in Darfur and Muammar Gaddafi  for crimes against humanity committed in Libya.  During the eighties he was leading transitional justice efforts in Argentina. He was Deputy Prosecutor in the trial against the “Military Junta,” and the Prosecutor in military rebellion cases in 1988 and 1989. He was visiting Professor at Stanford and Harvard University. He was recently Senior Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Kennedy School, Harvard University.
