Maiya Moncino
Maiya Moncino is a Research Associate in International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), where she is assisting Paul A. Volcker Senior Fellow Sebastian Mallaby to write a book about the history of venture capital. She also works with Fordham law professor Catherine Powell in the Women & Foreign Policy program at CFR. Previously, she has conducted pro bono research on incarceration trends in rural New York with the Vera Institute for Justice and interned at the U.S. Commercial Service in Berlin, Germany. She holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in Economics and one in History, from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
