Craig Martin

Craig Martin (Bluesky – LinkedIn – X) is a Professor of Law and Co-Director of the International and Comparative Law Center at Washburn University School of Law. His scholarship has focused on the related international and constitutional law systems that govern the different aspects of the use of force and armed conflict—jus ad bellum, international humanitarian law, human rights, and constitutional war powers—as well issues at the intersection of both climate change and security, and artificial intelligence and security. He teaches public international law, the law of armed conflict, international climate change law, international human rights, and comparative constitutional law. He also teaches comparative constitutional law each Spring at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and leads a study abroad program in cooperation with the University of Osaka each summer. He has been a visiting research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Perry World House, and at the University of Amsterdam Center for International Law, and a visiting scholar and lecturer at the University of Osaka, and is visiting lecturer at Universtà Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. He is a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Rideau Institute in Ottawa, and a member of the editorial board of the Canadian Yearbook of International Law.
