Hamdi Malik (@HamdiAMalik) is an Associate Fellow with the Washington Institute, specializing in Shia militias, and the co-author of the monograph Honored, Not Contained: The Future of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces. He received his PhD from the Department of Sociology at the University of Keele, where he specialized in media and domestic issues in post-Saddam Iraq.
