Charlie Magri
Charlie Magri (LinkedIn) is a French lawyer whose practice is dedicated exclusively to Interpol-related legal matters. From 2017 to 2023, he served as a Legal Officer at the Secretariat to the Commission for the Control of Interpol’s Files (CCF), where he processed requests from individuals seeking the deletion of their data from Interpol’s files. That work, from inside the body that rules on these cases, gave him in-depth knowledge of the CCF’s jurisprudence and Interpol’s decision-making processes. He now brings that expertise to Otherside, the law firm he founded to challenge unjust Interpol notices and defend individual rights, representing clients worldwide in deletion requests, access requests, requests for provisional blocking, and related proceedings before the CCF. He also serves as Of Counsel to Grossman Young & Hammond (GYH), a U.S. law firm, where he advises on the firm’s expanding International Protection Practice (IPP) with a focus on Interpol-related matters. Charlie is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA) and the International Bar Association (IBA). He writes and speaks regularly on Interpol law, CCF jurisprudence, and the misuse of Red Notices.
