Amy Knight

Amy Knight (@aknight613) is the author of more than thirty scholarly articles and six books on Russian history and politics.  Her most recent book is Orders To Kill: The Putin Regime and Political Murder (St. Martin’s Press, 2017).  She has contributed frequently to the New York Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, the Daily Beast and the Toronto Globe and Mail.  A former Woodrow Wilson Fellow (1993-94), Knight worked for eighteen years as a Soviet/Russian affairs analyst at the U.S. Library of Congress and also taught at the London School of Economics, Johns Hopkins, SAIS and Carleton University in Ottawa.  Knight received a bachelor’s degree in Russian studies from the University of Michigan and MSc. and PhD degrees in Russian Politics from the London School of Economics.
