Jeffrey S. Kahn

Jeffrey S. Kahn is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Davis, and a member of the 2022-23 class of Fellows at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. Prior to joining UC Davis, he was an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, a Robina Foundation International Human Rights Fellow at Yale Law School, and a Clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. His award-winning book, Islands of Sovereignty: Haitian Migration and the Borders of Empire, was published by the University of Chicago Press in 2019.
