
Elizabeth Hutton
CDR Elizabeth (Liz) Hutton is an active-duty Coast Guard lawyer, currently serving as a Military Professor at the Naval War College’s Stockton Center for International Law, where she lectures and writes on international maritime law and maritime security. She has held various assignments pertaining to operational law and policy, including Staff Judge Advocate for U.S. Coast Guard District East, Deputy Legal Counsel in the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Legal Advisor to the Coast Guard’s Maritime Security and Response Policy Office, among others. CDR Hutton holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
