Eungi Hong is a Presiding Judge in the Republic of Korea and a Visiting Scholar at Fordham Law School. Since 2009, she has served as a judge in Korea in civil, criminal, and administrative matters. She previously served as a professor-judge at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea and worked on international judicial cooperation. Her research focuses on public international law, particularly state responsibility and international human rights law, as well as constitutionalism, democracy and  migration. She holds an LL.B. from Seoul National University and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
