Kirsty Hare has worked with Legal Action Worldwide since 2019 and manages legal aid programs on Ethiopia, providing legal aid to victims and survivors of the conflict in northern Ethiopia, including in a case before the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights, and in Somalia, where her focus is the provision of legal aid to survivors of sexual violence and accountability of security forces. Formerly, Kirsty worked in legal aid and mental capacity law, and prior to that obtained an LL.M in Public International Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, where she specialized in international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
