Christopher Hardee (Bluesky – LinkedIn – Substack) served as Chief for Law & Policy for the National Security Division of the Department of Justice from 2013 to 2025, including serving temporarily as Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General. He previously served as Senior Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General, Counsel to the Associate Attorney General, and as a trial attorney. He clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.  He is a graduate of Yale Law School and Middlebury College.
