Daniela Gavshon (@DGavshon) is Director of the Truth and Accountability Program at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC). She designs and leads the organization’s transitional justice work. This includes the Sri Lanka Conflict Mapping and Archive Project, Towards Truth (a project that supports Indigenous truth-telling), and remote investigations research. Previously, Daniela led PIAC’s Sri Lanka International Crimes Evidence Project. Prior to joining PIAC, Daniela worked for the International Centre for Transitional Justice as the Head of Office, Solomon Islands, advising the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; as a consultant for U.N. Women working on women, peace and security; and for the Australian government on humanitarian emergencies.

She holds a master’s degree from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, as well as a law degree from the University of Sydney.
