Sarah Gardiner is a former consultant with the Charity and Security Network. Her work and advocacy focuses on protections for human rights defenders and global civil society. She began her career as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State and has held leadership roles at Oxfam America and Front Line Defenders, among other organizations. Her writing and commentary have been featured by outlets including the New York Times, Buzzfeed, the Hill, and Voice of America. She is a member of the Truman National Security Project.
