Emerson T. Brooking

Emerson T. Brooking (@etbrooking) is a resident fellow at the Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) of the Atlantic Council and coauthor of “LikeWar: The Weaponization of Social Media.”

He has spoken regularly on the topic of information warfare and social media manipulation, advising multiple U.S. technology companies and national security entities. His work has been published in Foreign Affairs, WIRED, and The Atlantic, among other outlets. Brooking was previously named to the Forbes “30 Under 30″ and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a BA in Political Science and Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
