Michael Dreeben

Michael Dreeben is a partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. He also serves as a Distinguished Visitor from Government at Georgetown University Law Center and a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. He formerly served as a Deputy Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice where he supervised the government’s criminal cases in the Supreme Court. He also served as Counselor to Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and obstruction of justice. In 2019, he taught a course on U.S. constitutional law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, a masters in history from the University of Chicago, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also on LinkedIn.
