Michael Dreeben

Michael Dreeben (LinkedIn) is a Distinguished Visitor from Government at Georgetown University Law Center, a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, and an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law. He formerly served as a Deputy Solicitor General in the U.S. Department of Justice where he supervised the government’s criminal cases in the Supreme Court. He also served as Counselor to Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and obstruction of justice and held the same position with Special Counsel Jack Smith. He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, a masters in history from the University of Chicago, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
