Jeffrey Chase

Jeffrey S. Chase is an immigration lawyer in New York City. He is a co-author of a white paper addressing the intersection of climate displacement in Central America and U.S. immigration law.   Jeff is a former Immigration Judge, and before that, volunteered as a staff attorney with Human Rights First.  A past recipient of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association’s Pro Bono Award, Jeff founded the Round Table of Former Immigration Judges, which was awarded AILA’s 2019 Advocacy Award for its amicus efforts in support of impact immigration litigation. Jeff serves on the Board of Central American Legal Assistance in Brooklyn, NY. His immigration law blog can be found at jeffreyschase.com.  Jeff received a BA in Near Eastern Languages and Literature and Politics from New York University, and a JD from Hofstra University School of Law.
