Joshua Busby is a professor at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. From 2021-2023, he served as a senior adviser at the U.S. Department of Defense. He writes on the intersection of climate, energy, and geopolitics. His book States and Nature: The Effects of Climate Change on Security won the 2026 Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Advancing World Order.
