Lisa W. Borden (@lisawborden) is a Staff Attorney in International Justice at The Advocates for Human Rights (@The_Advocates), a US NGO based in Minneapolis. Before joining The Advocates in 2020, Ms. Borden spent 30 years as a litigator in private practice. Her practice focused primarily on civil and human rights issues, including post-conviction death penalty and prison conditions litigation. She also served as Pro Bono Shareholder at the Baker Donelson law firm from 2008 to 2019. Lisa received her J.D. from Emory University, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Geneva Academy of Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
