Alexis Blane is a consultant on international law and foreign policy. She has worked in legal and strategic roles for nonprofits and served in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the Department of State, where she worked in the Office of Political-Military Affairs and the Office of Law Enforcement and Intelligence Law. She clerked for Judge Allyson K. Duncan of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Blane has a D.Phil. in English Literature from Oxford University, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar; a J.D. from NYU Law School, which she attended as a Furman Scholar and Institute for International Law and Justice Scholar; and an A.B. from Duke University.
