Emin Bayramli (LinkedInX) is the son of Dr. Gubad Ibadoghlu, a renowned economist, anti-corruption scholar, and human rights defender who was violently arrested by the Azerbaijani regime in July 2023 after spending his career exposing corruption in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector. Emin has lived in the United States for the past 10 years and is based between New Jersey and Washington, D.C. He has been at the forefront of advocacy efforts to free his father, engaging with legislators on both sides of the aisle. April 18, 2026 marks the family’s 1,000th day of fighting for his release. Emin is actively looking for any help, support, or collaboration he can get — and is ready to meet and discuss ideas.

Emin is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he majored in statistics. Emin can be reached at [email protected].
