Harry Aitken (LinkedIn) is a diplomat and international lawyer. He is the Legal Adviser and Counsellor at the Australian Mission to the United Nations in New York. He leads the team responsible for international law, maritime security, human rights, arms control and AI and tech policy.

Previously, Harry was a Director in the International Law Branch at Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and law clerk to Judge James Crawford at the International Court of Justice.

Harry has an LLM (International Law) from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Cambridge Australia Allen Scholar, and an LLB (Hons) and BA from the Australian National University.
