Angelic Young

Angelic Young served as a frontline civilian for over a decade, beginning with the Department of State in 2001. During her tenure, she led police training and assistance programs in Afghanistan, Serbia, Montenegro and Haiti; worked as Deputy Director of the (former) Office of Civilian Police and the Rule of Law and as Senior Coordinator for Peace and Security in the Office of the Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance. After departing State, she spent six years leading global efforts to strengthen national strategies for women, peace and security at the Institute for Inclusive Security. She currently works as Director of Training for Law Enforcement Programs at the Anti-Defamation League and is a Truman National Security Project Fellow.
