Nicolette Waldman (@Nicolette_AI) is a Middle East Researcher for Amnesty International, based in Beirut, Lebanon. Previously she was a field researcher for the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC), covering Gaza, Somalia, Libya and Bosnia; a legal fellow at the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) in Kabul; a program manager for Save the Children in the West Bank and Gaza; a Fulbright scholar in Jordan, where she worked with CARE International to coordinate resources for Iraqi refugees; and a senior associate in the legal and policy division at Human Rights Watch in New York. Nicolette has a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and English Literature from Lewis Clark College and a law degree from Harvard Law School. She is qualified to practice in the state of New York.
