Skylar Thompson (@SkyylarThompson) is the Director of Global Advocacy and Accountability at Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRA) where she leads organizational efforts advocating for justice and accountability concerning human rights violations within the Islamic Republic. Her work is dedicated to emphasizing the importance of strategic pathways to accountability and fostering coordinated actions across jurisdictions. She is a regular Iran contributor to print and broadcast media, and is an accomplished author in her own right. Her various publications delve into subjects such as Iran, the complexities of accountability within the country, as well as international human rights and humanitarian law more broadly. Prior to working on Iran, she worked in U.S. criminal justice reform and on the humanitarian response in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. She is also on LinkedIn.
