Kate Shaw (@kateashaw1) is a Professor of Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where her work focuses on executive power, the law of democracy, the Supreme Court, and reproductive rights and justice.

Her scholarly writing has appeared, among other places, in the Columbia Law Review, the Georgetown Law Journal, the Texas Law Review, and the Northwestern University Law Review, and her popular writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post. She is also a contributor with ABC News, co-host of the Supreme Court podcast Strict Scrutiny, and a member of the National Task Force on Election Crises. Before joining Cardozo, she worked in the Obama White House Counsel’s Office and served as a law clerk to Justice Stevens and Judge Posner.
