Timor Sharan (@TimorSharan) is the author of Inside Afghanistan: Political Networks, Informal Order, and State Disruption. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Global Security Programme, University of Oxford, and a Fellow at the Centre on Armed Groups. He was formerly the International Crisis Group’s Senior Analyst for Afghanistan and an Adjunct Professor at the American University of Afghanistan. He holds a PhD from the University of Exeter and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. He is also on LinkedIn.
