Niriksha Sanghvi

Niriksha Sanghvi is a Legal Consultant at Global Rights Compliance (GRC), an international legal partnership committed to enhancing compliance with international law, particularly international humanitarian law (IHL) and human rights.
Niriksha specializes in international criminal, humanitarian and human rights law. She completed her Bachelor in Laws in India and her Advanced LLM in Public International Law with a specialization in international criminal law from Leiden University, Netherlands. She holds a post-graduate diploma in international humanitarian law and international human rights law from the Indian Society of International Law.
Niriksha is based in The Hague and also works on various matters before the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT). Niriksha is actively involved in various on-going projects of GRC, working on mass starvation accountability, business and human rights and basic investigative standards manual.
Prior to joining GRC, Niriksha worked with Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative researching on sexual violence laws in India and liaised with local civil society organisations, police and government officials on related policy issues. Admitted to the Indian Bar in 2017, Niriksha also provided legal assistance to women facing criminal charges and convicted women prisoners in Gujarat, India.
