Laura Sanders (BlueskyLinkedIn) specializes in conflict analysis, peacebuilding, and crisis response. She is the founder of Cetus Global and is currently researching the role of WhatsApp in conflict dynamics in West Africa. She has advised international organizations, development agencies, and local peacebuilders on strategies to prevent and mitigate violence for more than 20 years. Laura engages peacebuilders at the highest and lowest socio-political levels to design impactful programming at the intersections of climate, economics, gender, and governance. She has designed and implemented peace building projects in Mali, Ghana, and Benin, as well as East Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Vassar College and a Master’s in Latin American Studies from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service.
