Lt. Col. Ted Richard

Lt. Col. Ted Richard is a judge advocate in the United States Air Force and is currently assigned as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate at U.S. Strategic Command.  Previously he has served as an military operational law attorney and staff judge advocate.  He earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Wisconsin and a Masters of Law at George Washington University.  He received the 2011 American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Armed Forces Law Keithe E. Nelson Distinguished Service Award for his article, Reconsidering the Letter of Marque: Utilizing Private Security Providers Against Piracy.  His views are not intended to reflect official positions of any component of the US Government.
