Dr. Siobhan O’Neil is Project Director of the Managing Exits from Armed Conflict (MEAC) project at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR). She previously led UNU-CPR’s research on Children and Extreme and the future of Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR). Before joining UNU-CPR, Dr O’Neil worked as a consultant to the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and at the RAND Corporation. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Siobhan had a career in counterterrorism, holding positions at the New York State Office of Homeland Security, the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security Preparedness, and the Congressional Research Service (CRS).
