Joseph Nunn (@josephanunn) is a Counsel with the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program, where his research focuses on federal and state emergency powers and the domestic role of the U.S. military. Joseph is the author of the Brennan Center’s report, Martial Law in the United States: Its Meaning, Its History, and Why the President Can’t Declare It. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.
